Clint Hill knows the threat Loic Remy poses as QPR prepare to face west London rivals Chelsea on Sunday.

The Frenchman scored six goals in the second half of the 2012/13 season as Rangers were relegated before joining Newcastle on loan the following season.

He made two appearances for the Rs during this campaign before leaving for Chelsea at the end of the summer transfer window and Hill was full of praise for the Frenchman's efforts during his time with the club.

He told GetWestLondon : “He was a decent lad and he did well for us in a struggling team and scored a few important goals for us.

“The club decided they got the money they wanted for him and he's gone on to revitalise his career at Chelsea. I'm sure the fans will give him a welcome but as soon as kick off goes they'll be right on him.

“We weren't surprised in the dressing room. We knew it was dragging on. We were a bit disappointed at the timing of it because we couldn't get anyone in.

“We knew that he was going to go on to bigger things and the club got the money they felt they needed.

“He's a good player. He's got good movement and if you give him a chance he'll get his shot on target.

“We need that special atmosphere at Loftus Road to throw them off their game and give us an extra few per cent as well.”
