NEIL Warnock insists there's no rush to hand Clint Hill a new contract at QPR.

The left-back appeared to have played his last game for Rangers after being sent-off in the opening-day drubbing to Bolton, and was shipped out on loan to Nottingham Forest.

But Hill has forced his way back into his manager's plans after being recalled from his spell at the City Ground, and has made a further six appearances in the Premier League this campaign.

The 33-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the season, and he told the Chronicle last week he wanted his future sorted before the January transfer window reopens.

The club have held initial talks with Hill, but have yet to table a new contract offer, with the player set to assess his options in the new year.

Boss Warnock said: “Clint's [contract] is up at the end of the season, but I don't think there's any rush. We're talking to Clint and a number of other players.”
