Nedum Onuoha reckons he was denied a penalty when through on goal in the first half at Charlton.

The QPR defender weaved past three players before going over a leg only to see the referee wave away appeals.

For all that, this Rangers attack has run out of gas, and worse still, according to assistant boss Kevin Bond, the defence has stalled as well in a four-game winless streak.

He said: “I asked Nedum if it was a penalty and he said it was, but I’m not going to criticise referees, it’s an impossible job, but it is a fine line.

“Ravel Morrison had a really good chance before they scored.

“But we haven’t been a free-scoring side all season, and I don’t think we’re suddenly going to become one.

“We didn’t create enough chances for the amount of possession we had which goes back to the early part of the season. The difference is we weren’t shipping any goals then.

“In a game of chances we should have come away with 0-0 – but we just fell asleep for a split second and it’s cost us.”
