Kaspars Gorkss all but kissed goodbye to QPR's play-off hopes after last night's 1-0 home defeat by Norwich.

Only one point from the last three games leaves Rangers seven points behind sixth-placed Sheffield United having played a game more.

The Blades visit Loftus Road on Saturday.

Gorkss said: "I think it is a lot more difficult now to reach the play-offs.

"If we'd won the last three games we would be right up there but now we are not, and it's getting tricky because the games are running out.

"But I think the goal is still reachable because there are still 11 games to play."

Rangers persisted with the 4-4-2 formation adopted in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Oakwell - a surprise departure from the 4-5-1 which had witnessed just the Ipswich loss in the 11 previous games.

However, the Latvian international denied the back-to-back defeats were anything to do with the new system.

He added: "The change of formation is not a problem for us. We have more than one formation we work on in training and it wasn't the reason we lost this game."
