QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has admitted that he will not rush new signings, and more importantly he will not overpay for anyone.

A number of Queens Park Rangers fans have been questioning the lack of signings so far this summer, with only Josh Scowen joining the Loftus Road outfit so far.

The new Championship season is just over a week away now, and Fernandes has admitted the Hoops need new blood, but he will not be rushing into anything.

During a series of messages on Twitter, the QPR chairman said: "Looking forward to the season. Need one or two players but we doing it right. The excitement and passion never changes.

"Normal negativity is there but used to it now. Normal haters out. But we determined to make the club sustainable and do it right.

"Won't overpay and won't rush. Get the right sort. Manager has good group of players. One of (sic) two additions."
