Chris Ramsey reckons when the luck goes against you - it flies out of the door on wings.

The Rs coach insisted his side should have been awarded two penalties in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham, as well as failing to take chances that cost them dear.

At the death, Junior Hoilett blazed over in a good position and Matt Phillips also missed a decent opportunity to take a share of the points.

"The big moments, Junior's shot at the end, the Matt Phillips (chance) at the end - you don't get the rub of the green at this stage of the game, but we need to be capitalising on these moments if we're going to get out of this, Ramsey added.

In the first half, a great run into the box and a left-foot smack against the bar from Charlie Austin was as close he came to adding to his 15-goal tally.

Ramsey reckoned it was symptomatic of where Rangers are right now.

He said: "In the last two games had we scored first or taken our chances, we might have nicked at least two points. Tottenham and Arsenal will know they've been in a game and wonder why we're in the position we are."
