A QPR fans’ website is claiming Martin Rowlands has pleaded with fans not to boo the team.

The Rangers captain remonstrated with Hoops supporters following the 2-0 home defeat to Derby 10 days ago, and according to qprdot.org wants fans to cheer rather than jeer.

He said: "Three days earlier we beat Aston Villa 1-0 and everyone was ecstatic.

"Three days later the fans booed the players off. OK, we didn't play that well but there was no need to boo."

Rangers have taken just one point in the last 12, after losing 1-0 at Birmingham on Saturday.
