Ian Holloway labelled the Leicester City players ‘cheats’ after the club’s ‘disgraceful’ decision to sack Claudio Ranieri this week.

The outspoken ex-Foxes manager reserved unbridled disgust for the behaviour of the club’s players, who are alleged to have gone directly to the board with concerns about the Italian.

Speaking after QPR’s 2-1 defeat at Preston, the current Rs gaffer said: “It’s disgraceful.

QPR Manager Ian Holloway
Angry: Ian Holloway

“The man is a brilliant manager. If any of his players have gone in and talked to the owner, they should be sacked.

“Any chance of them turning up and playing like they did last year? That’s your job.

“Moaning about your money, moaning about this, moaning about that.

“You should look at yourselves, every one of you.

“He’s been badly let down.

“The owners don’t understand the game. If they understood it they’d know what that man did and what those players are doing now, which is cheating behind his back.”
