QPR boss Ian Holloway is looking forward to paying tribute to Rangers legend Stan Bowles on Saturday.

The Rs are playing host to AFC Bournemouth in a game that will raise money for the 68-year-old, who is battling Alzheimer's Disease.

And it is the club's final friendly before they kick off their league action against Reading on August 5.

“We’re looking forward to Saturday,” Holloway said.

“It’s an important day for the club, as we pay tribute to one of our most iconic players ever in Stan Bowles.

“And it’s an important day for us too as we countdown to the start of the season.

“We’re playing a very, very good Bournemouth side, who I admire greatly, but it’s another opportunity for us to keep doing the good things we’re doing, which I’m sure those supporters who were at the game tonight would’ve acknowledged we did well this evening.”

Tickets are on sale now priced £12 adults/seniors and £6 for under-18s. For more information call 08444777007 for or visit the club's website.
