Steven Caulker has recovered from the bang on his head earned at a lunch when he, QPR and Crystal Palace players made the front pages on Monday.

The manager played down disciplinary action for the headliner grabber, even though just days earlier he again decried Christmas parties for players.

In fact, Redknapp claimed he was surprised to see a big fuss made out of not a lot.

"Surely there's more important things in the world than Steven Caulker falling over and banging his head.

Why the fuss? Redknapp

"He's recovered and got a bang on his head. But don't ask me what happened, I can't be with them 24 hours.

"Disciplinary action? I haven't spoke to Phil (Beard, CEO) or the chairman, but I think we just move on now."

Moving on involves trying to get a first away point of the season at Everton on Monday, minus the services of suspended top scorer Charlie Austin sent off in the 2-0 home win over Leicester last weekend.

"Obviously Charlie is suspended and we have one or two little knocks, which we need to look at over the next couple of days.

"And we've got to find a different formula. Everton's not an easy place to go and the other teams down there haven't got too many points away either."
