QPR manager Ian Holloway says he was delighted with his side's reaction to going 1-0 down, saying that it showed the spirit in the squad.

Speaking after the game, Holloway say he was worried about how his side would react to going behind in the first half, but says the team reacted brilliantly.

He said: "I think you saw the spirit there. The first half we played some lovely stuff but didn’t get the finish and go 1-0 down, for me against the run of play.

"I just wanted us to take a bit more care. Luke (Freeman) could have scored, perhaps should have scored but some of the moves were excellent, and then they score against the run of play and everything goes quiet.

"That’s when you worry about your group but I thought they came through it with flying colours."

The game turned on it's head after Holloway introduced Matt Smith and Idrissa Sylla who bagged a goal each to secure the win, and the manager says that it's all about working as a collective.

He said: "It’s all about the ones on the bench, the ones who were out there and we’ve all got to learn about each other.

"They’re in a great place down there at the moment because that was character.

"It’s been a real tough start, but I think our identity is coming. We close, we press, we chase, we work and everyone is doing it.

"They will learn as a group, and i’m loving what they’re doing at the minute, and I love that the fans are going home happy, because they deserve it."
