QPR boss Harry Redknapp plans to go out and attack Wigan in tonight’s play-off semi-final first leg.

Rangers are unbeaten against the Latics this campaign, having drawn 0-0 at the DW Stadium earlier this season before edging the return fixture at Loftus Road in March.

But Redknapp insists he will set up his side to win at the DW Stadium as they look to take an advantage back to W12 for Monday night’s second leg.

He said: “We won’t be sitting back and taking it on the chin for 90 minutes. We’ve got to go there and give them problems.

“I only know one way, and that’s to be positive. If I went there and didn’t have a go I would regret it for the rest of my life.”

Redknapp reckons his star-studded side are only third favourites in the end-of-season lottery behind Derby and Wigan.

He added: “Wigan are a good side and probably have the best squad in the division. They have a good young manager and a great chairman. It is all sudden death now.”
