Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink admitted he didn't see Preston's leveller coming - but the QPR gaffer insists referee Andy Woolmer also missed vital decisions.

Rangers suffered late, late heartache when the hosts equalised in the 92nd minute to cancel out Sebastian Polter's early opener for Hoops.

But apart from Eoin Doyle's goal that gave Preston an undeserved share of the points, there were two other crucial moments in the last 10 minutes.

Firstly, North End defender tugged back Tjaronn Chery clean through on goal. Everyone, including home fans expected a red card, only to see yellow produced.

Seconds later the same Rs player was through again, but allowed keeper Anders Lindegaard to smother what would have been the clincher and deserved three points.

Hasselbaink agreed goal, poor decision, and miss were hard to take.

"We were very frustrated, because I never saw them scoring," he said. "My goalkeeper had no saves to make and we soaked it up.

"On the (Chery) foul? You know the rules. He pulls him back; he pulls on the shirt; we know how it is - it is a red card and he (referee) doesn't even see it. The linesman gives it, and needs to assist him, and it's as clear cut as that.

"(On Chery) Does he want to miss? No. Does he want to be in that position? Yes. Look we are still winning 1-0 and we should be able to get through it. It should not make a difference," he told www.qpr.co.uk
