BOSS Harry Redknapp handed out his biggest criticism yet after QPR were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle – their 20th defeat of a relegation season.
Redknapp was forced to substitute Jose Bosingwa at half time after the defender gifted an equalising penalty and then laid the United winner on a plate with a hopeless back pass.
The former Chelsea player was roundly booed every time he touched the ball before he made way for Fabio, but Redknapp (pic) reckoned the rest were not much better.
“If I put out that same team in the Championship – they would struggle to be half way up,” he said. “I’ve seen quite a few Championship games in the last few weeks so I’ve got a good idea.”
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew was at a loss to explain the home fans booing Bosingwa, but reckoned he had heard catcalls before the defender even touched the ball.
“I don’t know what that was about – but I thought I heard something even before his first pass,” added Pardew.
