Chris Ramsey has revealed his darker side as he prepares the QPR fightback from the Championship.

The friendly, outgoing boss cuts a contrast to the man before him.

Harry Redknapp often came across as taciturn, and in the last days of his tenure in January, increasingly frustrated at Rangers management who refused to make expensive signings.

Ramsey has declared he's OK with whatever hand dealt, but insists there will be no prisoners if anyone tries to take advantage.

Friendly: Charlie Austin and Ramsey

“I’m a lot more aggressive than some,” he admitted. “I haven’t had a chance to show it, because if players see I’m losing my rag, we lose focus.

“But if needs be I can read the riot act like other managers.”

This way: Ramsey in charge

Far from being a rookie as perceived by outsiders, Ramsey reminds he’s paid his dues in coaching and work on the sidelines.

In fact, the head coach insists the experienced Redknapp was the pupil, and he, and Rs director of football, Les Ferdinand, were teachers when all were together at Tottenham.

“Me, Tim (Sherwood) and Les at Spurs; Harry learned a lot from Les in those training situations,” Ramsey added.

Proved point: Tottenham's Harry Kane (L) takes on Steven Caulker

The new man in charge also believes he has all the credentials of making his Loftus Road time in charge a success as well as developing youth and academy hopes.

“Pressure on me?” he said. “Pressure and incentive are one-in-the same. I Proved my point at Tottenham. I had nine years employment there and topped it off by involved in the first team at the end.

“We stuck to our guns to get the likes of Harry Kane on the pitch in the face of Galacticos turning up, and Harry’s success hasn’t surprised me.”
