QPR shot themselves in the foot when they lumped the ball into the Fulham box of a dramatic final 10 minutes, according to their boss.

Harry Redknapp (pic) was a notch short of blowing a gasket after his side trailing 3-2, played into the opposition's hands instead of using the luxury of an extra man.

Steve Sidwell had already been sent off for the Whites when Chris Samba went up front trying to atone for his dreadful night only to get it in the neck a second time from Harry.

The manager said: “You’re going to create three or four chances in that last 12 minutes. It’s no good lumping it forward.

“The last 10 minutes was disappointing when Samba wandered up front and we started lumping the ball up to him.

“We should have worked the space with an extra man as they had a player sent off.”

Redknapp insists his side will keep going, but the manager made no bones about a terrible first half as his side trailed 3-0.

He said: “We gave away the worst goals I’ve seen in my life. It was scandalous defending. But when it went to 3-2 I wouldn’t have taken a draw – I thought we would go on to win.”

Samba's double gaffe for 2-0 to Fulham left Redknapp bemused. And Rangers need a run of form comparable to Manchester United’s at the other end of the table – with no side bottom on April 1 yet to escape the drop.

But Redknapp insists miracles are only found in the Bible.

He added: “It’s not a miracle if I win a football match or two. It’s a miracle if I turn a loaf into something else or whatever.”
