QPR assistant manager Marc Bircham says the club are aiming to get their transfer business done early this summer.

Speaking to the club's official website, Bircham emphasised the importance of identifying their targets early and hopes it will prove beneficial come the start of the season.

He said: "We know where we need to strengthen and hopefully we can target those areas and get them done early in the transfer window.

Transfer Talk: Forest manager Mark Warburton keen to link up with QPR's former-Bees defender Jake Bidwell

"That gives us a good stepping stone into next season and gives us an advantage over other teams who are changing half their squad and looking for other players.

"If we do our business early and work with the bulk of the squad that we've got, we'll be really looking forward to the start of the new season with the pre-season that we'll get under our belt."
