Thick or thin QPR hoops? Unlucky, if you prefer the latter. In a self-titled teaser the club have not only gone for the same thicker hoops as last season, but a retro-look 'v' neckline - see above.

Rangers will officially launch its new Championship 2016/17 kit next Wednesday evening, June 29 at a ceremony in central London.

The new strip sees Canadian based sportswear company Dryworld replace Nike in an eight-figure deal set to last until 2026.

Rangers will follow in the stead of Brazilian high fliers Atlético Mineiro, Fluminense and Goias, who also have Dryworld on their backs.

The tantalising glimpse of the new strip and immediate reaction of fans, as one might guess, is mixed.

In the pro camp, one penned: 'From what i could see looks pretty cool to me!

'It is primarily aimed at kids of course, but its quite a big release for any club, especially QPR with the massive let downs over the last two seasons.'

Another offered: 'Happy with the v neck and the hoops all the way around. Looks like a classic kit.'

It's a Dry-world: the kit as worn by top Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro

However, the anti-faction told fans website We Are The Rangers Boys: 'My mate won't like that v neck.....

'Not working for me,' and 'I'm still wearing last year's kit.'

The neutral camp are curious.

'Be interesting to see what the 2nd & 3rd kits will be like, must admit I quite liked the red & white squares we had in 1st season back in prem,' wrote one.

'Those socks remind me of the old Admiral England socks......I am proper old.'

Last season, players Jamie Mackie and Nedum Onuoha gave the thicker hoops the thumbs up, although Mackie reckoned: 'I would have preferred the hoops the other way round,' as in with a blue hoop at the top.
