Ramsey on the result:

It was a kick in the teeth and the ...! We should have just sealed the points. We had a lot of chances and the game should have been over, well before.

If Charlie's effort had gone in when the feller on the line saved it (Matt Connolly) we would have been comfortable. We've had a one-v-one a minute before they scored.

Matt's (Phillips) had another one-v-one, and let's be honest, Rob's (Green) not had that man saves to make. Cardiff ran around us a lot to be fair to them.

But we haven't taken those chances and in the end we got punished.

On subbing Charlie Austin for the second week running

He gave us his all - and he did well, but it was time to take him off.

On any improvement from last week against Charlton

We definitely need to get more bodies in the box, but even we did we didn't get a touch on the ball.

Some parts of the Charlton game were better than today, but Cardiff pressed us so we couldn't play out - and they've got a very good centre half who headed away.

Net gain: Clint Hill's goal against Cardiff

On subbing Tjaronn Chery

Because we're not privvy to his conditioning, it looked as he'd given his all, and there wasn't much left in the tank.
