QPR lacked a killer instinct in Saturday’s defeat to Manchester United but were not short on effort and Rob Green typified that spirit to earn himself your man of the match award.

Tall Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini and a late James Wilson goal gave United the points in west London as the Red Devils ran out 2-0 winners.

Charlie Austin came close to getting on the scoresheet and Green produced another dazzling display between the sticks for the Hoops.

And it was Green who beat Austin to top spot in our rankings this week, scoring an average rating of 8.1/10, a fine reward for the former England goalkeeper who showed current boss Roy Hogdson what he was missing.

Hodgson was in the stands at Loftus Road and will have been impressed with the work-rate of Austin, whose efforts were worthy of a score of 7.1/10 to see him tied for second place in our poll with midfielder Karl Henry.

Adel Taarabt managed to rack up a score of 6.8/10 despite only coming off the bench. Niko Kranjcar, the other R's substitute on the day, finished bottom of the pile with a score of 5.1/10.
