Phil Babb says he is proud of Hayes & Yeading’s away form so far this season ahead of another road trip to Farnborough this weekend.

United have already matched last season’s tally of four away victories from their opening six away days in the Skrill South at the start of the new campaign.

It is a remarkable achievement for the young manager and Babb was pleased to see his side put their FA Cup disappointment behind them by picking up win number four last weekend.

He said: “The pleasing thing was that we managed to bounce back from the disappointment of midweek. The lads were disappointed and they just wanted to get back on horse.

"They did well and we changed the formation, playing three at the back, and it paid dividends.

“We’ve equalled last season’s overall away wins already so that is a testament to how we think the club is improving.

“The lads are improving. Exiting the FA Cup was thoroughly disappointing, we’ve still got the FA Trophy, but the main focus is to keep progressing in the league.

“The revenue streams associated with the FA Cup would’ve helped the club but the real goal is to have a successful season in the league.”

Anthony Furlonge is set to return from suspension for tomorrow’s visit to the Paddy Power Stadium in a move that could see Hayes & Yeading revert back to a flat back-four.
