Glenn Poole admits his equalising penalty at Aldershot was the first spot-kick where he has sized up the keeper first.

Normally, the Brentford winger reckons, he just smashes it where he fancies - a technique which, his record from the spot shows, works.

But on Saturday, he had to adjust his thinking after coming up against an old adversary.

Poole said: "Nikki (Aldershot keeper Nikki Bull) knows me from the Conference, when I was at Grays, so it was the first penalty ever I've looked at where the keeper is going first before shooting.

"I don't normally have a technique as such, but what I do seems to do the job as I've only ever missed two - one for Grays and one for Brentford at Morecambe last season - but scored about 20."

Poole will be back in action when Brentford host Morecambe tonight, but Josh Wright will not be after being recalled from his loan by Charlton.
