Ollie Watkins grabbed a late point for Brentford against Derby County tonight to end a frustrating night for the Bees on a high note.

Joe Ledley, making his first start for Derby since signing last week, gave the Rams a first half lead with a goal which has a suspicion of offiside about it.

The visitors then proceeded to sit on their lead and show little ambition going forward, putting 11 men behind the ball at times.

Try as they might, the Bees could not break through and failed with attack after attack, despite enjoying the lion's share of possession, until Watkins came up trumps with a late tap-in.

Here's how we rated the Bees players:

Winner: Ollie Watkins

Bentley 6 A virtual spectator for much of the game, and little he could do about the goal as his defence stood still.

Dalsgaard 7 Worked hard down the right channel and got up to support the attack well.

Henry 6 Lost his man for Derby's goal, and his final delivery was lacking sometimes, but put in a good shift up the left hand side.

Barbet 6 Didn't really pushed on from his fantastic cameo at Bolton but went close with a couple of second half efforts.

Bjelland 6 Had a good first half but went off at half time, presumably with an injury as his performance didn't warrant being hooked.

Woods 6 Not his best game in a Bees shirt and was lucky to escape with a booking after raising his hands and appearing to slap a Derby player during a touchline scuffle. Spread the ball better after the break but was replaced by McEachran with 20 minutes remaining.

Yennaris 7 A busy performance in which he rarely put a foot wrong.

Sawyers 6 One of his more languid games at first but kept plugging away and didn't hide.

Clarke 5 One of his quieter games and replaced by Jozefzoon just 10 minutes into the second half.

Maupay 6 Toiled hard up front but not had a lot fell for him. High balls into the box were gobbled up by the Derrby defenders, and balls into feet saw him allowed little time or space.

Watkins 7 Looked Brentford's best threat throughout and was in the right place at the right time for the goal. Having scored a few stunners for the Bees, it's good to see he can d tap-ins too.

Mepham 7 A half time replacement for Bjelland, the youngster put in a cool, assured performance including a goal-saving double challenge and was unlucky not to score with a back stick header from a corner.

Jozefzoon 6 Was largely anonymous when he came on until a late flurry which saw him get some good balls in from the left, including an assist for the goal.

McEachran 6 A mixed bag when he came on – playing some neat balls in front of the back four but not as decisive with his final ball going forward, but helped turn the game Brentford's way.
