ANAGRAM RECORDS TROPHY Evergreen........................1 HANWORTH VILLA......................2

A DOSE of Sir Alex Ferguson's hairdryer treatment inspired Hanworth Villa to a last-gasp cup win over Evergreen on Saturday.

Coach Lee Stephenson was responsible for the half-time tirade when his players came into the dressing room blaming the quagmire of a pitch for the 1-0 deficit.

Stephenson pitched into them instead, and his verbal volley sparked two goals in the final 15 minutes, including a last-minute winner.

"When Lee goes off on one he really goes," said Villains' boss Tony Buss.

"Our boys were complaining about the pitch and making it their excuse for giving the ball away, but Lee pointed out Evergreen were passing it about okay."

Buss's men needed a penalty, given for a push on Dan Ranger, to draw level with 15 minutes left, Mark Scotchford slotting home the spot-kick with ease.

Then, as a replay beckoned, Joe Woodard rose to bury a 90th-minute header from Danny Watford's cross from the right.
