QPR remain searching for the first away victory in the Premier League after slipping to defeat at high-flying Southampton.

The Saints ran out 2-1 winners at St Mary's as Ryan Bertrand opened the scoring before Charlie Austin levelled with a stunner and Graziano Pelle struck to keep the home side second.

Harry Redknapp has called for calm heads and belief in the Rangers camp as they target survival this season in the English top-flight.

Redknapp said: “We came back strongly after their goal and I felt we had every opportunity at that stage of the game but their centre-forward produced a world-class goal.

"Southampton are a good side but I felt we stuck at it and we got a bit more belief in ourselves today and we've got to continue to believe."

Next up for Rangers is a trip to West Ham this weekend.
