QPR’s miserable start to the new season continued on Wednesday night as they were dumped out of the Capital One Cup by Burton Albion.

Rangers are bottom of the Premier League following Sunday’s 4-0 hammering by Tottenham and Harry Redknapp’s boys found no solace at the Pirelli Stadium.

Adam McGurk’s free-kick was enough to see them exit the Cup at the second round in a match that saw Adel Taarabt make his first appearance in a QPR shirt for more than a year.

Meanwhile, the draw for round three was made this evening.
