Fulham have become the third club this week, and the third west London outfit this season, to part company with their manager.

Kit Symons lost his job in the wake of the 5-2 defeat to Birmingham yesterday and leaves the club lying in 12th place in the Championship.

The Whites appointed him in September last year, originally as caretaker, after the axing of Felix Magath and he inherited a side in the relegation zone in the second tier.

An early uplift in form saw the job made permanent in October but Fulham struggled for consistency under the former Wales assistant.

A major summer outlay saw the club in a position to challenge at the sharp end but their inconsistent nature cost them dearly and Symons his job.
