Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho revealed Diego Costa is barely training with Chelsea at the moment but the goal-machine took part in a session at the club’s Cobham training base this morning.

The Blues are preparing for a Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon in Portugal on Tuesday night and are hoping to pick up their first win in the competition this season after drawing their opening Group G match with Schalke at Stamford Bridge.

Costa netted his eighth Premier League goal in six games in a 3-0 triumph over Aston Villa on Saturday but Mourinho again expressed concerns over the Spanish international’s tight hamstrings.

Chelsea are monitoring Costa’s condition closely but he was deemed fit enough to join in with the rest of the squad today, with talismanic skipper John Terry in line to become a Champions League centurion tomorrow night.
