Chelsea are through to the Capital One Cup semi finals but the 3-1 win at Pride Park came at a cost for Jose Mourinho’s side as Kurt Zouma was carried off with an injury.
Eden Hazard, Filipe Luis and Andre Schurrle got the goals to seal victory for the Blues against a Rams side reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Jake Buxton.
Craig Bryson had given the home side hope of a comeback when he netted to pull it back to 2-1 before Schurrle hammered the final nail into the County coffin.
Zouma was taken off towards the end of the first half with what is believed to have been a dislodged tooth after clashing heads with Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech.
