Brentford blew away Nottingham Forest on bonfire night to make it an east Midlands double for the Bees.

Mark Warburton's side chopped down Forest at the City Ground just four days after accounting for Derby County at Griffin Park.

Goals from Jon Toral, Andre Gray and a penalty from Alex Pritchard took Bees ninth in the table with a 3-1 win victory over Stuart Pearce's side.

The only damp squib for the Bees was that Jonathan Douglas, who has seen talks with the club over a new contract stall, was booked and will therefore miss the trip to Millwall on Saturday.

Warburton, understandably, was thrilled with the performance of his team, who have lost just once in the last six games.

He said: “I’m very pleased. It was nice to come here and show a level of consistency. We started off really quickly, had some good intent, moved the ball well and I thought we showed a real level of threat in that first hour."
