Brentford went down to their heaviest defeat of the season on Saturday with a 4-0 defeat at Middlesbrough - and the key moments are captured here in our picture gallery.

The Bees didn't start too badly and the teams were evenly matched until Boro skipper Grant Leadbitter broke the deadlock with an astonishing finish from 40 yards out.

There was only one team in it after that, however, and further goals from Albert Adomah, Patrick Bamford and Kike after the break completed the rout.

Bees boss Mark Warburton said: "There was no bad luck today, the best team won. I've got no complaints about the result, but we now have to react to it.

"We didn't lack the endeavour or work rate, just quality on the ball. We gave it away in key areas, and we will have to learn from that."
