QPR under-23s boss Paul Hall says that his side showed what they could do after a disappointing start in their victory over Charlton Athletic.

The Hoops were 3-0 down at half-time, but mounted a spectacular comeback to secure a 5-4 win in a thrilling encounter at the Valley.

Speaking to GetWestLondon after the game, Hall praised his side for showing their resilience.

QPR under-23s fight back from 3-0 down to win 5-4 in thrilling clash with Charlton

He said: “We had a lot of the pressure, a lot of the play and found ourselves a few goals down, but I think the boys showed a resilience today, it’s about using what happened to develop. I didn’t really feel that we should have been 3-0 down, but three chances from Charlton led to three goals, it’s as simple as that.

“We made a few adjustments and asked them to go out there and show us how good they were and to start taking their chances because we can’t allow a team to get a 3-0 head-start, it just shouldn’t happen. We just had to make sure the boys came out to do what we asked them to, and achieve what they’re capable of, and achieve the standards they set for themselves.”
