Chelsea regained Premier League top of the table status after their 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Sunday put them one point clear.

The win was the sixth in a row for Antonio Conte’s men and they have been cut to 9/4 from 11/4 to win the league.

Manchester City remain in Chelsea’s way in the betting as the 2/1 favourites, after they shortened in from 9/4 off the back of their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Chelsea’s win was not the only thing to delight fans as the crossbar was hit during the match at Riverside Stadium resulting in double winnings with BoyleSports, as part of their Crossbar Challenge offer, which sees Double Winnings as a free bet on all winning markets if either side hits the Crossbar.

As a result of the crossbar being hit, Diego Costa, who was responsible for the only goal of the match, to score first was doubled to 11/2 from 11/4.

Another mover from the weekend’s Premier League action were Tottenham, who shortened into 16/1 from 20/1 as a result of their 3-2 win over West Ham.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports commented “It’s shaping up to be a two horse race for the Premier League title between Man City and Chelsea, after Chelsea were cut to 9/4 from 11/4 leaving them breathing down 2/1 favourite City’s neck.”

She added “The Crossbar Challenge clicked during the Chelsea v Middlesbrough match resulting in double winnings on all winning markets. The offer is available for West Brom’s Monday night clash with Burnley which could add more salt to our already stinging wounds.”
