Clayton Donaldson insists it's not time for Brentford to hit the panic button yet - despite them suffering three successive defeats.

A worrying wobble in recent weeks has seen League One losses against Rotherham and Stevenage sandwiching a Johnstone's Paint Trophy exit at Peterborough for the Bees.

But Donaldson believes if they stop gifting wrapping goals for opponents – like Martin Taylor's own goal at Peterborough and David Button's blooper at Stevenage – their luck will soon change.

He said: “We haven't really been under-performing – we're still creating chances, getting the ball in the box and making the keepers work – it would be more of a worry if we weren't dominating teams.

“We're being punished for our own mistakes rather than having teams create things against us, and once we stop doing that perhaps we will get a bit of luck rather than gifting it to other teams.

“I have friends who come and watch us and say we play some great football but just don't finish teams off. We need to start killing them off like we did last year.”
