Brentford will not be appealing against Kevin O'Connor's red card during Saturday's 2-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.
O'Connor had hoped his sending off, for a lunge at Ben Strevens, would be rescinded as even the Dagenham players didn't think it warranted an early bath.
But Bees boss Andy Scott has decided against an appeal after viewing a video of the game, despite still believing the foul was not worthy of red.
Scott said: "You have to prove something happened which the ref didn't see, but he had a clear view of it, so there was no point appealing.
"We're already losing Kevin for three games, and if we appealed and were unsuccessful, the FA could slap another game on top of it."
O'Connor will sit out of Saturday's trip to Wycombe, the home game with Lincoln a week later and the trip to Chesterfield the following week.
