Brentford FC captain Adam Newton has promised his side will put things right when Rochdale visit Griffin Park on Saturday.

The Bees could have gone top in League Two last night, but instead dropped to fourth after crashing 3-0 at Chester City.

Newton said: "We want to learn from this, put it behind us and put it right. We want to be in the top three, top if possible, and [last night's] performance isn't the way to go about it.

"We are a confident team, believe it or not, and we have high standards.

"It is not so much the defeat but the way we lost that is disappointing. There is a lot that went wrong.

"We might be able to carry one or two players but there were eight, nine, or 10 outfield players not doing their jobs."
