Sean Kavanagh has signed a new contract at Fulham.

The 20-year-old, who can play at full-back or in midfield, will remain at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2018.

It has been a breakthrough season for the youngster but the highlight for Kavanagh has been scoring his first professional goal Norwich City in October.

He told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted. I’ve been here since I was 17 and I’m just looking forward to my future with the club.

“I’ve had Kit [Symons, Fulham manager] basically ever since I’ve been here and he’s helped me a lot. I try to play to my strengths and the strengths he knows I’ve got.”

Kavanagh is working his way back to full fitness after injuring his knee in the FA Cup win over Wolves.
