An image appearing to show Chelsea’s new home kit has been leaked on Twitter ahead of tomorrow’s official launch.

The Premier League champions are poised to unveil their Yokohama-sponsored 2015-16 strip on Thursday (July 16) but a picture which reveals the clothing has already appeared online.

Diego Costa, John Terry, Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Oscar are all shown wearing the items for what looks like a promotional photoshoot.

It is not the first time images claiming to be genuine have surfaced but only now have Chelsea players been pictured modelling the famous blue shirt.

The leaked images show that the club have incorporated a flash of red for the first time in five years and a button hidden under the material to fasten the collar.

Pinstripes are woven into the shirt and the Yokohama logo is emblazoned across the centre of the chest area.

Chelsea kits down the years in pictures:

It will be the first Chelsea shirt to feature the Japanese tyre manufacturer’s logo after the west Londoners signed a five-year deal with the company worth £40million per year in Feburary.

That figure dwarfs the £18m-per-year termsl the club signed with Samsung in 2006 but leaves them behind Manchester United in the race for the most lucrative shirt deal.

United’s seven-year contract with US car brand Chevrolet is worth £50million a year.
