Matic has created a goalscoring chance for a teammate just once for every 119 minutes of play in the league while performing a tackle once every 24 minutes on average.

Ramires is the Blues' next most defensive-minded player and has a chances created to tackle ratio of 0.5.

He has created a chance once every 84 minutes and tackles an opponent once every 38 minutes on average.

However, neither are the most defensive minded players in the league.

Mathieu Flamini of Arsenal creates just 0.1 chances for every tackle he performs - the lowest ratio of anyone to have played in 20 or more Premier League games this season.

The French midfielder creates a chance for an opponent just once for every 285 minutes played and tackles an opponent once every 34 minutes.

Aston Villa's Carlos Sanchez comes second, creating a chance once every 201 minutes compared to tackling an opponent once every 26 minutes.

Eden Hazard has been both Chelsea's and the Premier League's most creative-minded player.

The Belgian has created 3.5 chances for every tackle made on an opponent, the joint best record of any player to have featured in 20 or more league games this season.

He's set up a scoring opportunity for a teammate once every 32 minutes while performing a tackle just once every 112 minutes.

When it comes to being an all-rounder then few players in the league can match Steven Gerrard this season.

Gerrard has created a goal scoring chance for a teammate once every 43 minutes and tackled an opponent once every 43 minutes as well.

Cesc Fabregas does come close though.

The Spanish midfield maestro creates 1.1 chances for every tackle, having set up a teammate once every 29 minutes on average and tackling an opponent once every 31 minutes.
