Neil Warnock and Kevin Blackwell will leave QPR after the club appointed Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as manager.

Warnock was originally brought in as advisor to Chris Ramsey but stepped into the breach at QPR after the former youth coach was relieved of his duties.

In his spell in charge, the popular Rangers boss oversaw two wins, including Thursday night's triumph at Reading, a draw and a defeat.

Director of football Les Ferdinand paid tribute to the outgoing interim boss, saying: “We are grateful to Neil and Kevin for stepping in on an interim basis at a crucial period in the campaign.

“Having two experienced football men working alongside each other has allowed us the time we needed to go through the necessary process to make the right appointment.

“Neil's passion for QPR shone through in his short time back here and we are eternally grateful to him for the way he came in and helped us out.

“He led us to seven points from four games, which speaks volumes of the impact he had here in such a short space of time.

“We thank him and Kevin and wish them both well for the future.”
