JOSE Mourinho has challenged Juan Mata to prove the Chelsea boss was wrong to axe him for the derby victory against Fulham.
The Spanish star didn't even make the bench for this evening's 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, but Mourinho confirmed he will start in Tuesday night's Capital One Cup clash at Swindon Town.
And he has thrown down the gauntlet to the playmaker ahead of the trip to the County Ground.
The Special One said: “He trained this morning and my assistant said he worked very hard.
“He will play from the beginning against Swindon.
“I hope he tells me on the pitch 'you're wrong, I am the best and I have to play every game'.
“My idea is that he is a top kid and I want a professional answer.”
