Kurt Zouma can be Chelsea's defensive rock for a decade to come, says boss Jose Mourinho.
Zouma, just 20, produced a commanding performance for Chelsea in their 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday, taking the Blues 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League, and potentially two wins from the title.
Now Mourinho is singing his young Frenchman's praises, and insists he can spend the best part of his career with the Blues.
Mourinho said, of the way Fellaini was taken out of the game at Stamford Bridge: “I told Zouma that I want the game to be 10 against 10. I don't want the game to be 11 against 11. I want the game to be 10 against 10.
“And we are going to work during the week for that. During the week we were working for that and the game was 10 against 10.
“See the jobs he is doing for us. As a central defender playing against Aguero. As a central defender playing against Sterling.
“As a midfield player, plays as the holding midfield player against Tottenham in a system only with one holding midfield player.
“(On Saturday) against Man United, he plays to stop Fellaini from playing in the box. He is doing amazing jobs for us.
“He is mentally very, very strong, too. Not just physically, mentally he is very strong. He learned a lot by the tactical point of view from his arrival.
“So we can imagine with 20 years old, Chelsea has 10 years of Zouma.”
