Brentford full back Maxime Colin has revealed he will be out of action until the Christmas period after suffering a knee injury in training.

The Frenchman, who only joined the club in August as a replacement for Moses Odubajo, had impressed in his first few games for the club.

We told you last week that the full back had suffered the injury the day before the Bees won 2-1 against Preston and went for a scan on Monday, leaving him ruled out until the end of November at the earliest.

Colin wrote on his Facebook page: “Really bad news for me! I will be not on the pitch during eight to 12 weeks for my real first injury.

“It's never welcome but it's a part of the job and I will work hard to come back better.”

It is another long-term injury Marinus Dijkhuizen has had to cope with. The Dutchman revealed the extent of Brentford's injury crisis in an interview last week.
