JUAN Mata has warned Chelsea must be on their guard against Basel tomorrow night as they look to secure a place in the Europa League final.
The Blues take a slender 2-1 lead into the semi-final second-leg at Stamford Bridge following David Luiz's late winner in Switzerland.
And Mata knows Chelsea must be at their best to continue their quest for European glory.
He said: “We know we still have to fight to be in the final, we got a great result in Switzerland but we still have to play another 90 minutes. They will fight until the last second so it will be tough.
“They like to play with the ball, they have players with quality and they showed in the second half [in the first leg] they are able to do it, that's why I said it will be tough.
“They are at a level where they are playing in the semi-final of the Europa League, if they are there it's because they are good side.
“It's the kind of game that can be risky for us. If we don't go into it thinking about winning and defending well it will be difficult.”
