QPR technical director Chris Ramsey has hailed the impact of the loan market on the development of young players.

The Hoops are in the process of building the academy system at Harlington, with a number of outstanding talents making their way through the system.

While the academy can take these players so far, making the leap up to first team football is a huge leap, and Ramsey says that making the correct loan move can make or break a player's development.

Speaking to GetWestLondon, he said: "I think the right loan at the right time does help the players to come through and helps them to understand the other side of the game.

"When you look at players and they have their little niggles and little moans every day that ‘this ain’t right’ and ‘this ain’t brilliant’, they go to other places and realise how fortunate they are to be at a club like QPR."
