The clash with Lokomotive Leipzig is the ideal opportunity for the Hoops’ second choice 11 to stake a claim for a starting position, with the the Sky Bet Championship opener against Reading just two weeks away.

At least five or six of this eleven could force their way into Ian Holloway’s plans, but how have the team fared so far?

QPR

Matt Ingram – 5

Arguably could have done better for both of Leipzig’s goals. You can sense a lack of confidence from the current no.2.

Darnell Furlong - 6

Looked okay going forward but was caught out a few times heading back towards his goal

Niko Hamalainen - 6

Could have closed down faster preventing the second Leipzig goal, but looked assured in possession.

Giles Phillips - 7

A promising prospect. Looked solid in the air on most occasions when Leipzig went direct, and looked very strong breaking down counter attacks.

Jack Robinson – 6

A decent enough display. Showed good attacking intent but did get caught in possession several times.

Sean Goss - 7

Strong in possession. Showcased his excellent crossing ability with a left-footed effort that just evaded Grego-Cox.

Jordan Cousins - 7

Good to see Cousins back in the team. Looked a little rusty but this'll improve which match practice.

Pawel Wszolek – 7

A danger when on the ball. Had an early penalty shout rightly turned down but looked likely to make something happen.

Ryan Manning - 6

Couldn't really make a mark on the game. Will look to take control in the second half.

Luke Freeman – 7

Clearly a positive influence on the side. His energy was a huge asset going forward but failed to create anything concrete.

Reece Grego-Cox – 6

Failed to make an impact and was regularly caught offside.
