Lewis Macleod is 'very close' to making his Brentford debut after shaking off a hamstring injury but had suffered a bizarre setback after tripping over a twig.
The midfielder joined the Bees from Rangers in January but is yet to even make an appearance on the bench.
But he is closing in on a return but is unlikely to be a part of the squad to face Ipswich at the weekend.
Manager Mark Warburton said: “He's working with the medical team. He came with an injury and he had a setback in the first couple of weeks.
“He literally fell over a twig on the training ground and it set him back a couple of weeks. He's a real talent.”
Alan Judge is likely to return to the squad after missing Tuesday's 4-1 win over Huddersfield .
