QPR's director of football Les Ferdinand that forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas could still have a future at the club, but only if he adheres to the standards set by the club.

The 26-year-old hasn't featured for the Hoops since April 2016 and spent the first half of last season on loan with Gillingham FC before being recalled to Ian Holloway's squad in January.

Emmanuel-Thomas is in the final year of his contract at Loftus Road, and although he hasn't impressed Ollie so far, Ferdinand says that he still has a chance to impress.

Answering a question at the official QPR Fans' Forum, Ferdinand said: "JET is still alive, but as Ian alluded to there's criteria at the club that all of the players need to follow.

"If he doesn't want to follow it then he's not going to be part of Ian's first team.

"It's down to him to get to where we need him to get to and if he gets there then he'll be part of it."
