Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson have to prove their fitness in the second half of the season – or it’s over for them at QPR, according to their boss.

Harry Redknapp is praying AJ stays injury free and shows more of the spirit that got Hoops a 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Zamora is also expected back before the end of the month, although both are out of contract in the summer.

The former England internationals have rarely been off the physio’s bench over the last two seasons with a litany of problems.

But the manager wants Johnson in particular to pair up with current hotshot Charlie Austin when he plays two out-and-out forwards that could get a second airing see against Blackburn today.

Harry added: “In the second half of the season they’ve got to prove their fitness and play a part in what we’re trying to do – if so, then great.

“But you do need people who are fit, don’t you? You can’t have people who aren’t fit.

“They’re both outstanding players, and in AJ’s case I hope he stays fit.”
