Lasse Vibe admitted it was an angry dressing room after Brentford threw a 2-0 lead away at QPR in second half stoppage-time.

The Dane had struck twice to send the Bees on their way to victory before they went to sleep and let Matt Smith and Luke Freeman strike late to stun Dean Smith's side.

The Dane was on a high after opening his account for his season, which has been stop-start due to injury but admitted it was a low moment after the equaliser.

He said: “I think we're all focused on the same thing and that's why we're all enjoying it this year even though it's not very enjoyable now.

“Nobody is bothered about who scores, we all want to succeed. It's such an angry and devastated dressing room as we know it's about three points. We've won some tight games but losing points is what we're worried about.”

He added: “It was nothing unusual. Everyone is getting involved. Everyone wants their say and that's better than everyone being quiet.

“Everyone's got an opinion and we're all wanting to make that right and that's a positive thing really.”

Vibe was informed of the fact that Brentford had dropped 18 points from winning positions in 19 games, which if they'd held on in all it would see them second, and he admits it is a problem.

He said: “There's always the statistic saying if you won all your games you'd be top of the league but we're not making it easy for ourselves.

“We're not seeing games out. We're going to have to look at that and we will be. This is the first season where I've seen consistency in what we do in a positive way.

“Unfortunately, that's consistency as well. Looking forward, I hope and think more points will come.”

Lasse Vibe shoots

Of course, the question Brentford fans want answering is what on earth happened in stoppage-time and Vibe, who had been replaced by Neal Maupay, admitted he wasn't sure either.

He said: “I don't know to be honest. I was sitting on the bench and I was so happy and then, I don't know.

“It might have been a foul and it doesn't really matter. The ball is put into the box and they score a scrappy goal.

“There are a load of things we could have done differently and our heads just go I think. I can't remember what happened. I think some of the other players will feel the same. It's so empty.”
